Who Is Driven?

13 Sep

Hi everyone,

I first want to welcome all readers to our blog. Thank you for your support and encouragement, it does mean a lot to us. I pray that God will bless you all through this blog. We love you. God loves you. Never forget that.

Secondly, I want to let you all know who exactly we are. What does it mean to be Driven?

Driven is an acronym that we adopted for the youth group at our church. As the header says, D.R.I.V.E.N. is short for Defining Reality, Implanting Vision, Encountering Nations. This acronym is not something to take lightly because it consists of three very important statements. We truly believe that we are defining reality, implanting vision and encountering nations for the glory of God, and by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, this blog will help us continue to do all these things.

Let me give you  short summary of what it means to be Driven.

Defining Reality. What is the reality? The reality is Jesus Christ (John 14:6), plain and simple. The sad reality is that there are many people in this world who love their sinful ways so much that they reject Jesus. There are also many people who think they are saved but love the world. There are also many people who have never heard of Jesus and are completely oblivious to the grace and love found in Jesus Christ our Lord. Whether you like it or not, this is real. The Bible is real. God is real.

Implanting Vision. What vision are we implanting? The vision is quite simply believers who obey God’s word. We want a revival in the lives of Christians in North America and all over the world. We want to see the Holy name of Jesus being proclaimed with great joy. For some reason, Christianity in the western world has become so shallow and dull. We have lost the true joy that comes with God’s salvation. Our vision is that His joy be regained and embraced once again. There are few things that we want more.

Encountering Nations. What does this mean? One of our main goals is to spread the gospel to all nations (Matthew 28:19). Not necessarily across the world, for we are not missionaries (yet), but in our schools, in our workplaces, in our sports teams, on our city streets, to the homeless, to the rich, to the poor, to the mentally challenged, to the mentally gifted, to the physically challenged, to the physically gifted. To all.

This is what this blog is all about. The We are Driven blog was created so that we could get this message out to everyone.

This is who we are. We are Driven. Are you?
